From Passion to Product: The Journey of Daisy Cow Soaps

IAs a massage therapist I always wanted to make my own natural body products. In 2007 I qualified as an aromatherapist and since then I have been working and manufacturing lotions for skin conditions.

It’s a personal cause for me as one of my daughters suffered from eczema and my father, who is a builder, suffered with severe cracked hands – nothing doctors prescribed seemed to work.

I eventually invented Daisy Cow Itch Relief which cleared up my daughter’s eczema and repaired and relieved my father’s hands so he could work again.  People are constantly telling me of the many different ways they’re using the Itch Relief. It’s amazing!

After the success of my Itch Relief I began to make soaps, moisturisers, exfoliating scrubs, lip balms and more… I made our soaps and moisturisers from cows milk. That’s where the name Daisy Cow Soaps came from. We use cow’s milk in our soaps and moisturisers (we don’t use powdered milk) and we only use pure essential oils, not synthetic fragrances. Daisy Cow products are free of petroleum, parabens, paraffin, perfluorochemicals, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulphate and other harmful ingredients. Nor do we use tallow and nothing we make is tested on animals.

Our products are Australian made, offering you the ‘healthy option’ without the price tag. We’re a proud member of the Australian Made campaign.

Please try our range – we know you’ll love it!

Why I Started Daisy Cow Soap

People often ask me why I started Daisy Cow Soap. Perhaps this letter from my dad will give you an idea as to why:

“To My Darling Daughter I know I’m the reason behind your Itch Relief balm. I write to you darling and to let customers of the future know how you have changed my life.

Over six years ago you told me you would fix my hands. It took much experimenting and many products… Finally in 2009 you changed my life. I had a skin condition that no-one knew what to do with. I would get up in the morning and run my hands under steaming hot water just so I didn’t scratch them. I’d have my shower, eat brecky then put band-aids on all my fingers and thumbs. This went on for 6 years. My skin on my finger would peel daily, didn’t help with band-aids but that was the only way I could get on with my job. My hands were like sandpaper. It was if I had paper cuts all over them – they would bleed with added pain and were really itchy. I am a builder. I believe I may have gotten this problem from timber glues from my trade.

Suzie drops by with another jar to try. “Dad try this. Fingers crossed,” we said. I put the Balm on, a few minutes went by. My hands didn’t feel itchy. We got a little excited as the relief was almost instant. A couple of days later I rang Suzie and said “ Love, its a miracle. Its a relief to my hands. I think you’re onto something here.” Two months on we couldn’t believe it. My hands were mending each day. I was able take a band-aid off, my skin was stronger on my finger tips, my palms were healing. Today my hands are amazing.

Thank You Darling “GO AND TELL THE WORLD MUM AND I WILL TOO” Love Dad

That is why I started Daisy Cow. Aren’t I blessed to have such a Dad?
